The Association for Computing Machinery, or ACM, is a nationally based, locally segmented association for workers and students in the fields of computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, and other related fields.
Locally, universities and employers sponsor academic and professional chapters who strive to accomplish more specific goals for their more limited membership. MU-ACM is one such chapter. Our goals for this academic year and the future are the education of our members and potential members as to their future careers in technological fields as well as their current scholastic careers here at the University of Missouri – Columbia.
To these ends, we hold monthly meetings and other events, intended to enlighten, broaden, and enhance the minds of our members. We encourage all those of you who have interest in these areas to join our ranks of students, faculty, and professionals and let us guide you – as you guide us – into tomorrow.
